Lack of Vitamin D can negatively affect your health.
In fact, a recent article in the Journal of Internal Medicine states that lack of sun exposure is as dangerous as smoking. “Avoidance of sun exposure as a risk factor for major causes of death” is an article about a study that was done in Sweden with over 30,000 women over a 20 year period. The women were aged 25-64 when the study started back in the early 90’s.
There were 4 basic conclusions drawn, the first and most significant is that active sun exposure lower a person’s risk of Cardio-Vascular Disease. Since CVD is the #1 killer on the planet, this is very important.
By the way, the Vitamin D that you get from sun exposure is free, just for spending some time outdoors; it’s natural and it’s better than any prescription.
