Is There A Safer Strategy than Opioids For Pain Management?

Here are some facts:
Overdose deaths involving Prescription Opioids have Quadrupled Since 1999, and so have sales of these Prescription Drugs
From 1999 to 2014, more than 165,000 people --- 3x the U.S. military deaths during the twenty years of the Vietnam War -- have died in the U.S. from overdoses related to prescription opioids.
The most commonly overdosed opioids are Methadone, Oxycodone (such as OxyContin®), and Hydrocodone (such as Vicodin®).
Regrettably, overdose deaths resulting from opioid abuse have risen sharply in every county of every state across the country, reaching a new peak in 2014: 28,647 people, or 78 people per day -- more than three people per hour.
MORE THAN 3 PEOPLE PER HOUR.
I'm going to let that sink in, for a second.
99% of Medical Doctors Prescribe Highly Addictive Opioids - and for longer than the 3-Day period recommended by the CDC – much longer.
23% of doctors said they prescribe at least a month’s worth of opioids. Finally, according to a study from health information firm Castlight Health, employers are paying for 1/3 of opioid prescriptions that end up being abused. Patients who were given more than a 90-day supply and received a prescription from one or more providers were defined as having opioid abuse.
90 DAY SUPPLY = OPIOID ABUSE

According to the graph above, more than half of the chronic medical conditions are Musculoskeletal in nature. That being said, non-pharmaceutical approaches are the ideal solution to at least half of cases, which brings me to the next point:
Chiropractic Care offers a Drug-Free, Non-Invasive and Cost-Effective Alternative to Opioid Drugs
Chiropractic care is a hands-on, non-invasive approach documented to be effective in the acute and chronic neuro-musculo-skeletal pain environment, yielding improved clinical outcomes, reduced costs and high levels of patient satisfaction.
Chiropractic is the Largest and Best Recognized of the Complementary and Alternative Health Care Professions
There is also dramatic evidence of the value of chiropractic care in surgical avoidance that results in not only cost savings, but also patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Patient Use of Chiropractic Has Tripled in the past 2 decades.
